The Outback Edition series has been designed to meet the highest demands of hunters and bushcrafters by being 100% outdoor-proof. Silky applied a black coating of a unique blend of nickel and tin to the entire blade, including the teeth. This provides long blade life and incredible cutting performance. The grip is made with a wood / plastic composition: the feel is a little harder than the usual Silky GOM rubber handle, but offers more grip with greasy substances.
