Hultafors hatchets are hand-forged and made from quality Swedish steel in the Hults Bruk forge in the Swedish province of Östergötland. The forging technique dates back to 1697.
The Wetterhall is a double hatchet, originally used by woodcutters who could thus have two cutting edges available. While the former was used for heavy work, with the latter you could dedicate yourself to precision tasks. Nowadays it is mainly used for throwing in competitions among enthusiasts. The hatchet is named after the blacksmith who worked the longest at Hults Bruk: Bo Wetterhall.
